French Breakfast Radishes with a Twist

Radishes are one of those strange vegetables which I find beautiful to look at but until recently wasn't always sure how to prepare them. Sure, you can throw them in salads for some color, but they don't usually add much else. Until I discovered the perfect way to eat them: a splash of toasted sesame oil, a dash of rice vinegar and some salt. That's it. Toss it all together and the slight sweetness of the rice vinegar coupled with the salt simultaneously draws out the peppery taste and tempers it. The toasted sesame oil creates the perfect palate to taste all of the flavors and the salt brings it all together with mouth puckering goodness.

Love and hugs!
